Located in the western foothills above the town of St. Helena, Dr. Crane Vineyard, one the most unique and sought after vineyards in the Napa Valley, resides in almost pure riverbed gravel on the banks of Sulphur Creek. The deep, gravel-bed soil imparts breathtaking angularity and purity that makes this wine an instant one of a kind collectable.
Mockingbird Green reveals a staggering concentration of sweet rose petal, coco and espresso. The flavors of plum, dried cherry and crushed lilacs are pure and focused on the pallet. An almost dusty and expansive tannic layer balances the plush entry and intense dark fruit. On the back end of the pallet is an amazing combination of crushed anise seed and wet bark.
After spending 20 months in oak and two years in the bottle, this exquisite wine is ready for release now but will be pleased to age further in your cellar for generations.
